STEAM is the acronym that stands for five academic disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Rather than teach each area separately, STEAM education integrates these disciplines for use in real-life applications. The course focuses on enriching STEAM secondary education curriculum through innovative activities for students, expanding available learning and teaching resources as well as enriching educator’s skills on engaging and motivating their students. This course is a kind of teacher training course which aims to support school staff with a new and innovative teaching approach methodologies proved and wide accepted by education community. Our flexible and collaborative courses are created by leading experts and experienced educators. Whether you are newly qualified, an experienced teacher or a STEAM Ambassador, we’ll help you engage, inspire and progress the learning of your pupils and students. We’ll support you to reflect on your practice and take what you learn back into the classroom. At the end of the project, Participants receives “An INNOTOMIA STEAM Training Certificate” that verifies the development of new pedagogical and didactical approaches based on educational technologies towards STEAM in education.
The course will combine theory input and discussion with analysis of practical cases with the purpose of finding out different possible solutions. The methodology used is mainly content-based language instruction (communication through specific content), text discussion, oral presentation and discussion, role-playing, self- and meta-reflection, debating and group interaction will be the strategies more frequently used. In practice, we use: technical study visits to local private and public institutions, meetings with local professionals to exchange good practices, job shadowing experiences, workshops to introduce new .

The educational material is based on successful contemporary innovative techniques on STEAM and is provided free to all learners in a form of a practical implementation manual-textbook. The ultimate aim is to create tools for learners which will strengthen STEAM knowledge on a modern school at European level.

The newArchaeological Museum of Patras, the church of Saint Andrew and the Fortress of Rio are some of the attractions visitors must see, while a strollalong the Rio-Antirio Bridge is a unique experience, along with participatingat Patras carnival cultural events. There are many points of interest in this region including the Vouraikos Canyon and the rack railway, the Monastery of Agia Lavra and the Monastery of Megalo Spileo (Big Cave), the Cave of the Lakes and the Museum of Sacrifice bythe People of Kalavryta. If you are interested in submitting any kind Erasmus+ KA1 project proposal, we support you in preparing and submitting the application to your National Agency. We have developed a set of guidelines for the preparation of the KA1 e-form, which we provide with no additional fee. All the activities andservices are fully covered by the grant received by Erasmus+ if the project is approved.
We act as receiving organization and accept students, teachers and staff any time of the year. Courses are offered in corresponding target group format. Each course is structured so that it ispossible to attend the basic level (20 hours in 6 days) or the advanced level(40 hours in 12 days). Courses are offered starting from March to November.
